STEEL STRUCTURAL ENGINEER

FRAG Srl is looking for a Steel Structural Engineer that will be in charge of the development of Oil & Gas project.

The Structural Engineer will be responsible to the Structural Team Leader or Senior Structural Engineer, for the preparation of BIM models, design analysis and drawing preparation for buildings and infrastructure buried structures and facilities.

Main Responsibilities:

• Performing Tekla 3D Modelling from Engineering Design drawing
• Extract/Detailing of 2D Drawings (Erection & Shop drawings)
• Checking the details for miscellaneous Structure such as Walkways, Access Platforms & Pipe supports (Involves Handrails/Stair cases/Ladders/Grating Standards)
• Preparing of shop & erection drawings related to miscellaneous steel structures
• Understanding the project drivers as advised by management and ensure focus keeping during implementation
• Understanding and implement Client expectations
• Understanding all relevant Client and associated Engineering Standards
• Understanding the Local standards as they apply to the engineering work and review compliance with Client Engineering Standards
• Participating in engineering discussions in resolution of issues
• Coordinating with other disciplines, mainly mechanical engineering for HVAC, plumbing and firefighting during production of design package at different stages;
• Reporting weekly on overall schedule and performance of the structural design task to the Structural Team Leader or Senior Structural Engineer
• Making follow-up with the remote staff on advancement and potential issues preventing satisfactory progress, as necessary

Requirements:

• Technical Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural specialist
• At least 5 years of experience as Civil Structural Engineer
• Previous experience on Oil & Gas projects
• Good experience and knowledge of software Tekla 3D Modelling
• Very good knowledge of English language (written and spoken)
