FRAG srl is looking for a Project Manager that will coordinate all the activities for an Oil & Gas project based in Rome. The PM shall be responsible to manage and coordinate planning, cost controlling, design activities, material requisitioning, procurement and construction for the whole duration of the Project. He is responsible for critically reviewing engineering interfaces with Process and Procurement, dealing with both technical and economic-scheduling aspects. He will be the Client interface.
Main duties: - he monitors that all discipline teams involved in the Project are timely provided of needed inputs for the execution of their activities and manages to remove any blocks when he detects holding situations.
- he grants proper distribution of basic documentation, ascertaining that all persons involved receive what is necessary for the performance of their own activities and is responsible for subsequent updating and follow up.
- he is supervising the timely issuance of the basic design and detailed design for Client review/approval.
- he collaborates with Project Planning Manager in preparing the Project master plan. He verifies congruity between the departments detailed plans. He ensures that plan variations are smoothly understood and put into effect by the persons assigned to the Project.
- he supervises any design alternatives proposed by the specialist sections, to verify their congruence with schedules and budget.
- he checks any requests from Client to verify whether they belong to the scope of work or may generate change orders.
- he ascertains the implementation and use of general specifications and standards for the Project.
- he supervises the activities of the Project engineer(s).
- he signs technical documents for authorization (specifications, drawings, etc.).
- he verifies technical/commercial tabulations and takes part as PM in Contractual negotiations with major suppliers.
- upon request from site, he coordinates the explanations and information as required during the erection and installation phases.
- he assimilates field requirements and reschedules head office activities accordingly.
- he periodically calls meetings among the various disciplines to verify Project progress.
- he manages the preparation of technical-economic documents for the presentation of change orders and/or claims to the Customer.
- he reviews the periodical project progress report to be issued to Customer
- he is periodically on project site to verify construction progress and any technical issues which may impact on the expected productivities
- he attends periodical project review meetings (trimestral) with Company Owner and General Manager to verify the overall status of the Project.
Requirements: - University/Degree in Technical Disciplines preferred
- At least 10 years of experience in Oil & Gas Sectors (Upstream/Downstream Plants)
- 5-10 years of experience in Project Manager position
- Proficient knowledge of English language
- Availability to travel to Middle East Area for missions depending on projects requirement
