To manage commissioning and start-up activities for the pertaining discipline, ensuring the compliance of the relevant task with the technical and contractual requirements. The Commissioning Superintendent acts as Commissioning Manager when he will not be present on site (eg. Work mission/rotation leave/permits). Main Responsibilities: - Prepare and implement a plan that takes into account the challenges resulting from the construction phase in order to optimize the overall schedule of the project.
- Collaborate with the Client team, the Project Management, subcontractors and Vendors Specialist.
- Assist the site quality team in the delivery system and the progress on the commissioning documentation that has to be delivered to the Client.
- Coordinate the site QA/QC Dept. in the dossier preparation.
- Support the Commissioning Manager for the activities of planning, execution, document preparation and plant handover to the Client in accordance with project requirements.
- Ensures the procedure implementation on site working in compliance with the quality/healthy/environmental/security rules requirements and the applicable procedures.
- Ensure that standards of quality and safety procedures have to be observed by the Commissioning staff, including the requirements to apply for Work Permits.
- Ensure that all the Pre-commissioning & Commissioning Activities have to be done in accordance with applicable procedures and respecting the time schedule of the project.
- Define detailed procedures with supervisors.
- Define the daily activities and develop a daily schedule according to priorities set by the Commissioning Manager.
- Develop and promote working relationships with the Client Operations Manager in order to facilitate the delivery of the System.
- Assign tasks to the Supervisors.
- Take part in meetings about the Pre-Startup-Safety-Review.
- Approve and issue work permits.
